First, all the guests of the event visited the museum’s exhibition, where they learned about the local traditions of celebrating Maslenitsa, played a Thread the Needle Game, a Seto people old game entitled “Bring the cow back home” and performed "Kalinka" song using a garmon (Russian button accordion), a mandolin, a tambourine, a hand-rattle, wooden spoons and castanets.
In “The Life and Culture of Seto People” museum room “Mariukisi” (“Berries”) folk children ensemble performed a play based on traditional Seto fairytales. The guests also enjoyed their singing and dancing.
A master class in cooking a pancake with cottage cheese, raisins, honey and apple filling was held, after which everyone was invited to have a cup of tea. Then the guests went to the museum’s yard to play traditional Russian games and learn to dance a traditional Seto people dance.
